Often ,when we were aware of some starry night event. We would make ready with some coffee ( and Bailey’s), seems like the really good celestial events coincided with Girl Scout cookie season.. We’d have a blanket and sit in a dark place in our Miata, watching eclipses,asteroids and meteor showers. Sometimes just a full moon was enough.Sharing the coffee and a blanket. She’s watching from a much better place now. I’m still here watching, waiting. One starry night we will be together again, staring down at a lunar eclipse, sharing Thin Mints and Do-si-dos , topping off our cups from the red thermo, While sharing a blanket in the forever.
