We always went out on the full moons. Just something to celebrate when there may not be anything else to celebrate.. Americans really do not have enough holidays. I like following the Anglican calendar for special days. I also observe full moons, solstices and equinoxes. I can remember asking my boss off for Autumn Equinox and she said rather quickly-“Sure”. I lbelieve that she did not want to discuss any sort of possible spiritual thing with me. I really just wanted to ride with my wife in the Miata ,pick apples in Hendersonville and have a really wonderful breakfast somewhere. We did similar things for every Nature Celebration we could uncover. I’m sure it could be regarded as being a little witchy or pagan. I fully regard myself as being in the world, not of it. And in my own cheeky way a follower of Jesus. Striving to uphold his commandment , “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” Wineberry Woods is a reference I use for these days. It is made for parents and their children. I like simple at this point in my life
